Junior Kelly was born Keith Morgan on September 23, 1970, the youngest of five children, and grew up in the Waltham Park area of Kingston, Jamaica. He broke through to appearances on major Jamaican stages in 1995, including the Reggae Sunsplash and Sting festivals. His music also took him to the United States, where he recorded “Good Tidings” and “Hungry Days.” Back in Jamaica, he recorded several more singles these songs included “Black Woman” and “Love So Nice. His new album”Red Pond" Junior Kelly’s fourth album for VP Records features 15 mostly brand new tracks. After having given this album several spins, one can only draw the conclusion that the long wait has been truly worthwhile ‘cause “Red Pond” is Junior Kelly’s best effort yet. Again, and in our opinion even more than before, he shows that he simply has the lyrics, sounds and power to create a strong album
